san antonio part 2
The last day we were in San Antonio we were able to see 3 more missions. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. There were very little crowds and it felt like we were stepping back in time. Each of the missions were built in the 1700's and had so much history. The missions are now part of a national park as well as functional Catholic churches.

san antonio part 1
During spring break we went on vacation to San Antonio. My sister and her family were also able to join us and we had lots of fun. The first day we were there we went to the River Walk and the Alamo. We went to the Alamo a couple of years ago and it was extremely crowded. This time it was crowded, but not near as bad as before and unlike last time we were able to go into the main building. It was nice to walk the beautiful grounds and see the historical buildings in the mission.
It really is a sacred place where men sacrificed their lives for freedom, and as a native Texan it has a special place in my heart.
