This weekend we attended our nephew Colby's baby blessing. He looked so cute in his white shirt    and tie. We also so got to meet our newest nephew, Lauren and Dan's baby, Evan. He is such a cutie.

south texas state fair

This past Friday we went to the fair. The kids always look forward to going every year. In the past it has been cancelled because of hurricanes, so the fair is now held in the spring. While we were there it was threatened again by bad weather. There was a storm coming our way and every one had to go inside for about thirty minutes until the storm passed. Despite the crazy weather everyone had lots of fun on the rides, seeing all the animals and eating lots of good food.

baby laila

This weekend we spent lots of time outside enjoying the nice spring weather. We started planting our garden. Dario and Aiden helped pull all the weeds and we got a little bit planted. I love this time of year when the days get longer and the weather gets warmer. Here are a couple of pictures of Laila enjoying the beautiful weather.

azaleas

I love this time of year when everything starts blooming. I wish our Azalea bushes would bloom all year long, those flowers are so pretty. Dario has had this week off for spring break, but it hasn't been much of a break because the boys have been sick with a stomach virus. After being sick all week long they are finally feeling better.

soccer!

Aiden started playing soccer in a city league. He has been asking us for awhile to play and now he is finally old enough. They had their first team meeting this week and Brian is the coach. The boys choose the T-Rex's as their team name and their colors are black and green. Next week they will start their practices. We're excited to watch him play his first game - GO AIDEN!

a week of firsts

Yesterday Laila rolled over for the first time. She also had her first taste of rice cereal, which she didn't like that much.
