10 year transplant anniversary
Today marks the big milestone of ten years since Dahlia’s heart transplant! So very thankful for her donor and for her gift of life. Dahlia had her annual biopsy a couple of weeks ago, and her heart looked healthy with zero rejection!

Ten!
We celebrated Dahlia’s 10th birthday today! Hard to believe she now double digits. She had to do homeschool once again this year, because of the Delta variant. Can’t wait for the vaccine to be approved for children, so she can go back to school! Although, Dahlia doesn’t seem to mind homeschool too much, and Evelyn loves having her home.

Five!
How is my little baby already five years old! Evelyn is the sweetest, funniest, little girl. At five, she loves babies, getting into makeup, helping fold laundry, and copying her older sisters. Even though there is a five year difference between her and Dahlia, they are best friends and play together so well. We are so glad she is part of our family, we don’t know what we’d do without our “little sweet.”

Eighth grade banquet
The eight grade banquet is a big deal around here. The kids get all dressed up, and the school has a nice dinner and dance for them. Ava looked pretty in her new dress that she picked out, and she had a great time. I can’t believe she’ll be in high school next year!

prom!
Dario and Aiden went to prom this weekend. They didn't have dates, but went with a big group of friends. Luckily, Aiden's suit that he wore for his 8th grade banquet still fit him! Haha!

Soccer!
Dario’s senior year of soccer has come to an end. I can’t believe he is graduating this year! He had a great soccer season and got a lot of playing time in. He did not play soccer as a child, and picked it for the first time while in high school. He’s a natural!

Easter!
Last Easter, because of the Coronavirus, we weren’t able to get together with anyone. It was really nice to be able to spend it with family this year! We celebrated at Lauren and Dan’s house, and the kids had lots of fun being together. We really missed Dad, I don’t think I will ever get used to him not being at family gatherings.
